Laminate is made of high density fiberboard, with some brands being water resistant and others waterproof. Those two words are not the same promise, and the difference matters most in a kitchen, a laundry room or an entry.
So we ask before we recommend. A call or text covers the type of home, the family size and the pet situation, and that is how we pick a line and build an estimate that fits your budget.
Laminate gets you the look of oak, maple or walnut boards without the price of solid wood, and it feels warm underfoot. It is a good fit for living rooms, bedrooms and hallways where you want the wood look and a calmer budget.
If you want real wood in the room, read about engineered hardwood. If the room gets wet often, compare it with vinyl plank before you decide.
Laminate is installed as a floating floor, which means the boards connect to each other and rest on the subfloor instead of being nailed or glued to it. Our crew sets the floor, cleans up and removes all trash.
One prep step belongs to you: for hardwood and laminate, the house should sit at normal living conditions for 2 days before the material is delivered. Skipping it is how boards end up moving after they are laid.
